Expressive aromas of cocoa powder, raisins and sweet baking spices. Aged in oak for five years, it offers well-integrated, persistent tannins with a firm acidity and a lingering finish.
About Breaux Nebbiolo
The first plantings of Nebbiolo at Breaux Vineyards were in 1998 on lyre trellis. This planting established a new block (“M”) on the south-west facing slope of a mountain at elevations between 250-300 meters. With 1.7 hectares in production in the shale gravel mountain side, the Nebbiolo clusters tend to be very large and ripen late in the season. A lot of hand-work is required to ensure good fruit exposure in the cool foggy climatic conditions that envelop the valley at harvest.
